A Shopping Cart Returns
Dedication Boy was out there today as well but he left while I was framing this shot. It makes me wonder whether or not this blog will have an impact on court use. What if this park gets a bad rap for having some creepy figure snapping photos in the adjacent apartment building? Ah the power of technology.

Nothing, Nothin, Nothing.
There is nothing to post about. This constant snow is killing the content of this dumb ass blog.

Court Hooligans
Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Not a whole lot going on at the court these past few days. I am sure it has something to do with football, snow and the inauguration. However, a random shopping cart did show up sometime Monday after dark which marks the first occasion that I actually feel like I live in a city since moving here in June.

DEDICATION
Dictionary Definition of the word dedication.
Today the temperature topped out at about seven degrees. Yes, that's right, seven.
This young man was out there for at least forty-five minutes hitting off the wall under horrible conditions. The ball did not bounce in the snow so he had to pick it up after every serve, over and over again. Way to go buddy, and keep up the good work.

This is a common activity at the court. I would guess that utilizing the tennis court as a dog pen happens more frequently than utilizing it for its intended design, tennis. The gentlemen on the left is fastening the makeshift lock, a shredded bungee cord, to enclose his bulldog in for a "run." For some reason I never associated bulldogs and running but then again I like cats. The popularity of this pastime is illustrated by the women in the background running her lab in the street hockey rink. I think the city planning department may want to explore the possibility of adding a dog run.
