This is a common activity at the court. I would guess that utilizing the tennis court as a dog pen happens more frequently than utilizing it for its intended design, tennis. The gentlemen on the left is fastening the makeshift lock, a shredded bungee cord, to enclose his bulldog in for a "run." For some reason I never associated bulldogs and running but then again I like cats. The popularity of this pastime is illustrated by the women in the background running her lab in the street hockey rink. I think the city planning department may want to explore the possibility of adding a dog run.
